With an aim to empower local communities in and around its areas of operations, SEIL has been initiating various skill and entrepreneurship development programmes for rural women and youth. The company is providing vocational training in areas such as tailoring and basic computer skills, among others.

SEIL has established the SEIL Entrepreneurship Development Centre (SEDC) in Nellore. SEDC is providing vocational training to local women to enable them to become self-sufficient and contribute to their families income.
